So I went to the movie theater intending on seeing Godzilla but instead saw MA because it started 5 minutes later and I wouldn’t miss the beginning after previews.
I had seen a trailer and the only thing I knew was that Octavia Spencer was in it and it was spooky.
Here are 10 things I learned:
1. Octavia Spencer is also an executive producer of the movie.
2. Allison Janey has a small role.
3. Not really scary in my opinion but definitely creepy.
4. Everybody was Kung Foo Fighting.
5. Funky Town.
6. It was filmed in Mississippi, takes place in Ohio.
7. Ellington is the last name of Octavia Spencer’s character and of one of the crew in the credits.
8. Juliette Lewis is in the film.
9. There is sewing, ironing, and face painting. (You will only get this if you see the film)
10. Octavia Spencer wanted a different role, this is it and she is superb in this psychological horror film.
