One of the first comedienne’s to do male drag, Tommy Velour, Rick, and Pervis Hawkins (modeled after Luther Vandross).

First woman to appear solo in a Broadway Show in 1977.

Received Best Lead Actress in a Play, Tony award for The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe.

Married Jane Wagner in 2013 after 42 years together.
