I have known Javier Perez virtually for years, we only communicated via phone and email. I finally met him in person on September 8, 2016, when I was in Miami for the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Convention. We met for lunch at a wonderful spot, Dolores But You Can Call Me Lolita, where this picture was taken.
It was and is love, so it is with great pleasure I present the first 3 Minutes with Kiki profile.
Javier self-identifies as a “cisgender Cuban American gay man living in Miami, Florida”.
Presently and for the last 17 years he has worked as a literary publicist for a wide range of of genres and authors including New York Times best-sellers, Pulitzer Prize winners as well as new authors.
Javier uses social media to present the messages of his authors directly to audiences without going through the gatekeepers of traditional media.
We met when I was a traditional media gatekeeper, as producer of Bay Sunday and Black Renaissance for CBS SF, and he would pitch me authors. Javier always gave me great pitches. The only reason I would not book a client of Javier’s would be if there was a problem getting studio time.
I am happy to remain connected to Javier and his business, Page-Turner Literary Publicity.
Peace, love, gratitude, compassion, and blessings.
